1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Mainecoonunity website and services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms and Conditions, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Purchases & Orders

Order Submission

Submitting an order form on our website constitutes an expression of interest in purchasing a cat. All orders are subject to our review and confirmation. Receipt of an order number does not guarantee availability of the cat.

Order Confirmation

An order is confirmed only when:

• We have contacted you and confirmed the cat's availability
• Payment has been received and verified by our team
• We have sent you a written confirmation via email or WhatsApp

Availability

All cats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. If a cat becomes unavailable after you submit an order, we will notify you immediately and offer alternatives or a full refund of any deposit paid.

3. Payment Terms

We accept the following payment methods:

• Bank Transfer (primary method)
• Zelle
• CashApp
• PayPal (fees may apply)

Full payment or an agreed deposit is required to secure/reserve a cat. Prices listed on the website are in US Dollars (USD). All prices are subject to change without notice until an order is confirmed.

4. Health Guarantee

All cats sold by Mainecoonunity come with a health guarantee under the following terms:

• Each cat has undergone a veterinary examination prior to sale
• All vaccinations are up to date as per the provided health records
• If a cat is found to have a congenital genetic defect within 72 hours of delivery, we will work with you to find an appropriate resolution
• The buyer must take the cat to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the cat for a health check
• Health guarantees do not cover illnesses caused by negligence, improper care, exposure to other sick animals, or accidents after delivery

5. Delivery & Shipping

We offer cat delivery across the United States and internationally upon request. The following terms apply:

• Shipping costs are calculated based on your location and will be communicated before payment
• We take all reasonable precautions to ensure safe transport of your cat
• Risk of loss or damage transfers to the buyer upon delivery
• Delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by weather, airline schedules, or other factors beyond our control
• You must be available to receive the cat at the agreed time and location
• International shipping requires compliance with all import regulations of the destination country — it is the buyer's responsibility to understand these requirements

6. Refund Policy

Deposits

Deposits paid to reserve a cat are generally non-refundable unless the cat becomes unavailable through no fault of the buyer.

Full Payment Refunds

Refunds of full payment may be granted in the following situations:

• The cat dies before delivery due to causes within our control
• The cat is found to have a serious undisclosed health condition confirmed by a vet within 72 hours of delivery
• We are unable to fulfill the order as agreed

No Refunds Will Be Given For

• Change of mind after payment
• Buyer's inability to receive the cat at agreed delivery
• Allergies discovered after purchase
• Differences in coat color or pattern within the normal range for the breed

7. Buyer Responsibilities

As a buyer, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information in all order forms
• Ensure your home environment is safe and appropriate for a Maine Coon cat
• Take the cat for a veterinary checkup within 72 hours of receiving them
• Continue all necessary vaccinations and veterinary care
• Never resell, transfer, or give away the cat without notifying us first
• Provide a loving, permanent home — these cats are family members, not commodities
• Comply with all local laws and regulations regarding pet ownership

8. Reviews & User Content Policy

By submitting a review on our website, you agree that:

• Your review is honest, accurate, and based on your genuine experience
• You grant Mainecoonunity the right to display, modify, or remove your review
• Reviews must not contain offensive, defamatory, or unlawful content
• Reviews submitted are subject to approval before publication
• We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Mainecoonunity website — including text, images, logos, graphics, and design — is owned by or licensed to Mainecoonunity and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without express written permission from us.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mainecoonunity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or purchase of our cats.

Our total liability in any dispute shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific cat or service that is the subject of the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration.
